We are really pleased to announce the following result scores from the 2020 Wine Report just launched live on Instagram via @timatkinmw.
Mr Atkin is recognised as a world authority on South African wine (among others) and has tenaciously raised the perception of South African wines internationally. He works actively with the South African wine industry to change international perception and has been instrumental in facilitating awareness and engagement around the crisis currently facing the South African wine industry. It is an exceptional honour to have our wines rated by him.
Tim Atkin is an award-winning wine writer and Master of Wine, with over 35 years’ experience.
Tim was recently recognised as one of the most influential people in the wine industry and writes for a number of publications, including Harpers, Decanter, The World of Fine Wine, Gourmet Traveller Wine and The Drinks Business and is one of the world renowned “Three Wine Men”
This is what he had to say about South African wines this year-
“Overall, I am extremely impressed with the quality of what I tasted in 2020, especially from the 2017 and 2019 vintages. 2017 in particular deserves its place among the best-ever Cape harvests, as good as and, in some cases, even better than 2015. Against formidable odds, South Africa is making some of the greatest wines in its history.”
